Classic Car Tuesday – 1980 Wooden Car

This car is not one of a kind but darn close. It seems there are other wooden cars but none like this car, our feature for Classic Car Tuesday.

Darrell Stovall is the current owner and looking to sell. Darrell tells me the only change he has made on the car was a set of radial tires. This car runs like a watch and needs nothing but a new home.

There have been only three owners of the car. A New York Doctor built the car and then traded the car for a fully restored Packard around 45 years ago. Darrell purchased the car about one year ago from the second owner.

The platform for the wooden car is a 1970's VW chassis powered by a 1600 VW motor. All in all the car is fully stock and a regular daily driver with the top down I might add. If this sounds like a car for your collection it's yours for an investment of $15,000 or best offer
