This week for 'Wine a Little Wednesday,' we cross the pond to sample a very different white, La Cana, Albarino from Rias Baixas, Spain.

This wine has gotten critical acclaim from Wine Spectator - "Bright acidity focuses the generous texture in this bold white. Offers peach, apple and blanched almond flavors, accented by hints of mineral, toast and fresh herbs. Clean and focused, with the stuffing to age. Drink now through 2020."

That's what the experts say. I'm far from an expert but I say, it's very different from California Wine and I wouldn't waste my money on another bottle. However, my wife kinda liked it.

This is one to keep an open mind about as you taste. If it were me, one taste was enough.
