Trooper Robert J. Gaylo Fallen But Not Forgotten
Police officer put their lives on the line every day. Unfortunately, there are times when officers make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for the state of New York. We want to make sure those officers who have Fallen are not Forgotten.
This week we salute Trooper Robert J. Gaylo. Trooper Gaylo died at the age of 42 on May 13, 1980. Trooper Gaylo, while on routine patrol on Melrose Road in the Town of Owasco Cayuga Country, lost control of his vehicle on a rain-slick highway and struck an on-coming vehicle. Trooper Gaylo died at the scene of head and internal injuries.
If you know an officer who should be remembered in our 'Fallen But Not Forgotten' series email Don.Wagner@townsquaremedia.com.
