Police officer put their lives on the line every day. Unfortunately, there are times when officers make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for the state of New York. We want to make sure those officers who have Fallen are not Forgotten.

This week we salute Trooper Thomas J. Consorte was tragically killed on November 23, 1987. While on routine "C" line patrol in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, Trooper Thomas Consorte was involved in a minor accident with another vehicle that had pulled in front of his Troop car. While outside his vehicle setting out flares and investigating the accident Trooper Consorte was struck by a third vehicle resulting in his instantaneous death.

Trooper Consorte was 24 years old at the time of his death.

If you know an officer who should be remembered in our 'Fallen But Not Forgotten' series email Don.Wagner@townsquaremedia.com.
