A Winter Storm Warning is in effect across Central New York as nearly two feet of snow is expected to fall through the weekend.

The warning is in effect through 4:00 Sunday afternoon with estimates from the National Weather Service at 12-20 inches of snow accumulation forecast for much of upstate New York, including Utica, Rome, Oneida, Hamilton, Cortland, Corning, Oneonta, Owego, Binghamton, Syracuse, Auburn, Boonville and Cooperstown.

Additionally, very cold temperatures are expected to follow the storm on Sunday. The NWS is forecasting single digit temps for Sunday evening with wind chill values at 10-15 below zero through Sunday night. Monday's high temp is also forecast in single digits.
