[WATCH] New York Boy Has Cutest Interaction with Shelter Cats
Talk about a heart of gold. A young boy visited the cats at the Niagara County SPCA this weekend and made sure they know he has their backs.
When 7-year-old Desmond Benimoff stopped by the Western New York shelter over the weekend, he asked his mom if he could give money to buy the cats' food. She handed him some money, and walking crate to crate, one by one, Desmond told the cats that he was donating the money to help each and every one of them.
What a sweet kid!
Desmond is no stranger to overcoming large obstacles. At just 7 years old, he's been battling leukemia for the past year and a half. His family posts updates on his treatments and day-to-day life on a Facebook page called Desmond Strong, which certainly shows his affinity for cats.
Just this weekend, a video shows Desmond cruising around in his motorized fire truck with his feline sidekick.
Another post on Desmond Strong recalls their trip to the Bills' training camp last season, when Desmond got to meet quarterback Josh Allen for the second time... technically.
"Des cracked me up when he had this long conversation with our QB about that one time we met him in the post office and Des wouldn't take a picture with him because "well, I told my Mommy you were a stranger," the post reads.
Luckily they ran into Josh Allen again at training camp, and with his family beside him, Desmond finally got to snag a picture.
