This week in CNY Bands That Rock it's the Blarney Rebel Band.

Central New Yorks premier Irish Band gets you dancing, clapping and singing. They play all types of traditional Irish music from rollicking pub tunes, lively sea songs, moving ballads and stirring rebel songs to hand-clapping jigs and reels.

The Blarney Rebel Band is:
Mark Sisti -banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, mandola, concertina, accordion, pennywhistle, flute, vocals
Al Sisti - bass guitar, vocals
Dan Sisti - guitar, vocals
Gene Voce - bodhran, tambourine, percussion
Rotating fiddle players include: Amanda Straney, Katie Mitchell, and Shawn Hawley

They have produced 4 Cds titled 'Buy My Soul,' 'Beneath the Surface,' 'Pursuit,' and 'Pile High the Pennywall'  and are available for purchase via CDBaby or at their shows.

Mark Sisti says “Stand With Me, Boys” off their first CD “Buy My Soul,” was named the best Celtic Song of 2009 in the world-wide Irish and Celtic Music Podcast, and has had major radio play around the world. The same podcast named Blarney Rebel Band one of the Top 20 Celtic bands of 2016 – that’s Top 20 in the world!
