Are you looking forward to the 14th annual 'Uticon' comic book show? We sure are! It's bigger and better than ever this year.

This event is a fun, family-focused show in the Mohawk Valley spotlighting great indy artists and writers, as well as showcasing many professional comic book creators from Upstate NY who donated their time & talents with all proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The last two years Uticon has raised more than $2,700 for the American Cancer Society thanks to great fans and volunteers.

Uticon will take place on Sunday, October 1st from 10 AM to 4 PM at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Alumni Center Building.

Adults 18 and up - $5 each
Teens 13-17 - $3 each
Kids 12 & under - FREE

The event will include appearances by over 24 professional and semi-professional comic book artists and writers, including:

  • Jack Purcell (artist on Batman).
  • Bob Rozakis (long-time writer for DC Comics).
  • Todd Dezago (writer on Spider-Man and the Perhapanauts).
  • Dave Dellecese
  • Andrew Cieslinski (Holidaze).

This year female comic book creators and authors are making a first-time appearance including:

  • Kristen Gudsnuk (creator of the Henchgirl comic book series).
  • E. Hanby (writer/artist of the Black Peak comic series).
  • Shannon Myers (author of Blood and Bone: A Smattering of Unease book series).

Operation: Supply Drop will also be at this year’s show collecting gently used video game hardware and games to be packaged up to send to our troops overseas. Bring your gently used games and gaming systems to donate at the show.

Enjoy free photo ops with a replica of the Tardis and other props from the TV show Dr Who and a children’s corner with free superhero activities & craft projects for kids 12 and under. Vendors will be selling new & old comic books, role-playing games, pop culture items and chances for door prizes.
