Wegmans announced that they will begin selling spaghetti sauce made by a Syracuse homeless outreach group.

The former chef of Asti Caffe, John Tumino started In My Father's Kitchen as an outreach to Central New York's homeless population. So far, the foundation has brought 42 people in off the street. According to Syracuse.com:

Tumino began bottling his grandmother's secret sauce recipe in August. He's been selling it at the In My Father's Kitchen storefront on Hawley Street, Nelson Farms, a market that's part of Morrisville State College, and other small storefronts.

Most of the ingredients are listed on the jar, however Chef Tumino mentioned that there are also some secret spices, and flavors in the recipe too. In My father's Kitchen will earn $3.00 for every jar of sauce that gets sold.

We've heard nothing but good things about this sauce, but there's only one way to find out for sure; if you're in the Syracuse area, swing by Wegmans on your way home from work tonight and pick some up. We all lead busy lives, but here's a simple and  practical way to help out those less fortunate.
