On February 6th beginning at 4 PM the City of Utica is taking "The Red Pledge" to help raise awareness for women's heart disease.

The American Heart Association began the Go Red Campaign 12 years ago establishing February 6th as the National Wear Red Day. Nationally, it is a one day phenomenon, in which cities across the nation light up their businesses with red lights and everyone dresses in in red to help raise awareness for women with heart disease. While many businesses have taken "The Red Pledge" in the past, on February 6th 2015 Utica took the pledge with many businesses going red and helping to light up Central New York landmarks.

Robert Raffele of the Masonic Care Community of Utica talks about taking "The Red Pledge" and what it means for the Central New York community.
