These days, when you're watching a four o'clock Sunday NFL game, the TV network stays with the game, overtime or not, until it's over. Not so back in 1968, and on this day the infamous, "Heidi Game" took place. I remember watching that game with my father, and here's what happened.

Toward the end of a late Sunday afternoon game between the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders, NBC cut away from the final minutes of the game to present it's presentation of the children's film "Heidi". At the time, the Jets were leading, but the Raiders came from behind to finally win it, with TV viewers unable to see the remarkable comeback. Football fans were outraged!
