Take A Trip Into Downtown Utica’s Past
There's nothing like a little nostalgia to bring you back to simpler times.
Greater Utica Magazine feels the same way, and went the extra mile to help bring you back in time.
In a series of two videos, the folks at Greater Utica Magazine compiled dozens of old photos and postcards and put them together into a video that takes a look at what exactly Utica looked like in the past.
The images in the videos range from the early 1900's to the 1970's and more.
In the first video, they took old black and white pictures and postcards and colorized them to give a better idea of what life was like 'back in the day.'
In the second video, the Greater Utica Magazine staff took even more old pics and postcards and put them together to make an amazing look at the past of Utica's Downtown.
It's pretty amazing to see what Utica looked like in the past, especially the shops and buildings around Genesee Street. You'll recognize the Bank of Utica building, the old Stanley Theater, The Boston Store and a whole lot more.
We want to hear your memories of Utica past.
