Madison County Man Arrested For Animal Cruelty

New York State Police have arrested a Madison County man on animal cruelty charges.

22-year-old Michael Vreeland of Cazenovia is accused of shooting his mother's kitten behind their house with a 22 rifle.

Vreeland is charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals.

He was arraigned in the Town of Eaton Court and sent to the Madison County Jail on $500 bail.
