American rock and roll singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer, Johnny Rivers scored a No. 1 hit with the nostalgic “Poor Side of Town,” which was followed by the hit “Secret Agent Man,” featured in the popular films Austin Powers and Bowfinger. Other hits include:

Rivers has lent his smooth, reedy and soulful voice to a diverse array of songs in such music genres as blues, folk, rhythm and blues and inspired covers of rock-and-roll oldies. Also known for his highly successful covers of “Maybelline,” “Midnight Special,” “Seventh Son,” “Baby I Need Your Lovin,'” “The Tracks of My Tears” and Chuck Berry’s “Memphis,” Rivers has had many musical accomplishments, making significant contributions to the history of rock ‘n roll.
