Honey Boo Boo Tops Barbara Walters Most Fascinating People Of 2012 List

If you haven't heard of Honey Boo Boo (aka Alana Thompson) yet then you must truly live under a rock. Even Barbara Walters knows who she is! Walters named Honey Boo Boo the most fascinating person of 2012. 

Walters tells Us Magazine:

"Honey Boo Boo is not an obnoxious little girl. She's sweet and loving with her mother and loving with her sisters Jessica, Lauryn and Anna. And now Anna has a new baby, and the baby has three thumbs -- but so what? It'll make you smile. It's a very sweet, loving story."

Honey Boo Boo stars on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" on TLC. The show features child beauty pageant participant Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, along with her mother June Shannon, father Mike Thompson and her three older sisters. The show is mostly filmed in and around the family's hometown in rural McIntyre, Georgia. The Thompsons originally gained fame appearing on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras, which follows the lives of child beauty pageant contestants and their families.
