Gary Philipson, President of Herb Philipson's, has announced that all Herb Philipson stores are for sale.

After 67 years in business, Philipson says that online shopping has hurt his business. WKTV reports “The combination of my age, my health challenges, and the realization that my kids are not interested in taking over the business, has forced me to make these hard choices.”

“Herb” Philipson’s was founded by Gary Philipson’s father, Herb Philipson, in 1951, with the first location opening in Rome. The nine-store locations include:

Rome – 1899 Black River Blvd.
New Hartford – 1 Center St.
Oneida – 2044 Glenwood Shopping Plaza
Herkimer – 232 W. Albany St.
Watertown – 1283 Arsenal St.
Liverpool – Rt. 57, 7421 Oswego Rd.
Newark – Arcadia Shopping Center
Oswego – 293 State Rt. 104 E.
DeWitt – 3179 Erie Blvd. E.

We're going to miss their coat drives and their classes like learning how to fly fish. No word on if they will be sold separately.
