[UPDATE:] Both children have been found safe.

The Elmira City Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating two missing toddlers from the Southern Tier, who may be in the Syracuse area.

According to Syracuse.com, Namia Brown and her little brother, Juelz Brown, have been missing from Elmira since March 27 based on a report from the state Missing Persons Clearinghouse. Namia is 2. Juelz is 1.

Police believe that both Namia and Juelz are with their mother in Syracuse. Korea Crain, 21, does not currently have custody of the children.

Here's some information provided by police about the appearance of each toddler and their mother:

  • Namia is about 3 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, Namia was wearing black pants, a black shirt and sandals.
  • Juelz is about 3 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 30 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. When he was last seen, Juelz was wearing a black Mickey Mouse sweat suit.
  • Crain is 21 years old. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. Crain has black hair and brown eyes.

The investigation is still ongoing, but the Elmira City Police Department is urging the public to keep an eye out and call in any information you may have. You can call 1-800-346-3543 or submit a tip on the Missing Persons Clearinghouse’s website.


Four-Month-Old Rochester Baby Found, Mom Still Missing in Rome

Rochester Police say a missing 4-month-old has been found.

Police have not said yet where or how the baby was found but say his mother Cassandra Harrell, 36, is still missing.

Harrell is 5'5" and 145 pounds.
