The Big Bopper was ahead of his time! The Speek, a music video company, has discovered three videos he made in late 1958. According to the company the Bopper set up a 16-millimeter camera in front of painted backgrounds and filmed himself singing into a telephone for "Chantilly Lace", dancing with a mannequin for "The Big Bopper's Wedding" and singing to a mannequin in a hood for "Little Red Riding Hood". A week before he died, The Bopper told the now defunct British music magazine, Disc, "It will ultimately become the standard practice of every record artist to make a film of himself performing his record." The videos are for sale now on iTunes.
