While we anxiously await Batman news from the DCEU (aside from “we’re working on it”), the TV corner of the Caped Crusader’s world is staying super active. In addition to FOX giving the green light to a fifth (and final) season of Gotham, and a planned Alfred prequel series on Epix, there’s even more Bat-fun heading to the small screen this fall: The CW’s next big Arrow-verse crossover will not only bring Gotham City into the fold, but Batwoman, as well.

Arrow star Stephen Amell offered details on the series’ big Season 7 crossover event during The CW’s upfront presentation (via EW):

We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.

“We are adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz, who also promised, “another full-throttled, action-packed event.” The seventh season, which will debut this fall, obviously won’t be crossing over with FOX’s Gotham, and while Bruce Wayne was name-dropped in Season 6, you shouldn’t expect to see Batman himself. Batwoman, on the other hand, should be a pretty awesome addition to the Arrow-verse, though it’s unclear if the character will appear beyond the crossover event.

The Season 6 finale of Arrow premieres tonight on The CW.
