Varick St. Bar Named One Of The Best College Bars In Upstate NY

We absolutely love it when a local establishment gets some attention.

NewYorkUpState.com just released their list of the best college bars in Upstate New York and of course, Utica has to be included.

Their list names a favorite watering hole in each College town, and here in Utica NewYorkUpState.com writers chose The Stief as Utica's best college bar.

Now we won't argue with that, because The Stief is one of the best bars around, but personally I think all of Varick Street could have been chosen.

There are obviously a lot of 'drinking districts' throughout the state, especially in college towns, but in my opinion Varick Street ranks up there with the best.

Not only is it a cozy street loaded with great bars like Lukin's, The Celtic Harp, Wakely's, O'Donnell's, Sickenburger Lane and more, but when Saranac Thursdays roll around its always a party.

Congratulations to The Stief on being named the best college bar in Utica. Now I want a Fish Bowl!
