Thunderbirds hand the Comets their third loss in as many games Saturday at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Its that time of the season when the home clubs call up players from the AHL and that's what's happening with the Comets currently.

Just over two minutes into the game and Comrie put the Comets up by 1. Everything was quiet for the remainder of the first period. Greg Chase tied the game at 1 four minutes into the second period. Boucher scored with 7:10 remaining in the second period. Schemitsch tied the game at 2 with under a minute to go in the second period.

Greco gave the Thunderbirds a 3-2 lead at the 11:15 mark of the third period and Springfield held off the Comets late flurry to secure the win.

The Comets are back in action Friday, March 2nd when they take on the Belleville Senators and get back on the winning track. The puck drops at 7 pm at the Adirondack Bank Center.
