Want to know what my predictions are for the New York Jets and the rest of the season? To quote the great Bill Murray “I'll give you a prediction. It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be gray, and it's gonna last you the rest of your life.” Now the season may not last the rest of your life, but it's sure going to feel long. Week 5 for the Gang Green will not be pleasant. Here's our game preview for The New York Jets vs The Houston Texans.

First some good news: we're only 25 percent of the way into the season. We still have plenty of time to recover. Now the bad news: injuries to Darrelle Revis, and injuries to Santonio Holmes, as well as our offense will cripple us the rest of the season. So a recovery seems unlikely.

The absence of Holmes, who has team highs of 20 catches and 272 yards, just adds to the pressure facing embattled quarterback Mark Sanchez. He threw for 103 yards Sunday and has completed less than 50 percent of his passes in three consecutive games for the first time in his career. Sanchez's uneven play since New York's season-opening win over Buffalo has allowed speculation to run rampant as to whether Tim Tebow will see more snaps under center.”

I've had people poke fun at me all week with the following joke “Would you really want Tim Tebow playing?”. To be honest, yes. Even though Tebow has only completed a 9-yard pass as of last week, I still think he's what our team needs. We need someone new, someone fresh. We didn't pick him up to sit on the bench and look all pretty. A lot of our blame this year should be placed on Mark Sanchez. I've ranted and complained about Sanchez a lot so this shouldn't be a shock I blame him. Also I'm not saying all the blame is because of Sanchez, but most of it should be.

Part of the blame falls on a running game that is near the bottom of the league in yards per rush attempt. That's not a new trend; the Jets finished the 2011 season with a paltry 3.8 yards per rush attempt, ranking 30th in the NFL.”

The team did sign Jason Hill on Wednesday. Hill had 25 catches for 367 yards and three touchdowns with Jacksonville last year. One would think this would be a breath of fresh air to our team, however, there could be some awkward introductions. According to USA Today, Hill was the Jaguars player who called the Jets "overhyped" in an interview prior to last season's Week 2 matchup (which by the way the Jets won 32-3). What's even more awkward is that Hill called out Darrelle Revis.

"Him personally, he's a good player, Pro Bowl player, I'm trying to make it to the Pro Bowl, too. This'll be a good game to put some notches on our belts too," Hill told the paper.”

Can Hill save us?

The outlook is not bright for this Jets team, but anything is possible, and the greatest adversity will always reveal the true mental makeup of a team. It's safe to say that, with the odds stacked firmly against the Jets, they face their biggest challenge of the Rex Ryan era over the next 12 weeks.”

Going into Week 5 I hate to say it but I don't think we will win. Call me a fake fan, a jerk, a tool, but I don't think we have what it takes to win this week. Do you?
