The soft rock group and 1972 Grammy award winners America will be playing at the Stanley in May 2018.

America is still relevant after 50 years in the music business. Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell are still with the band, but in 1977 co-founder Dan Peek quit and became a born-again Christian.

You can see America as part of the Herkimer County Historical Society fundraiser at the Stanley Friday, May 11 at 7:30. Members of the Stanley and the Herkimer County Historical Society can purchase tickets December 4th. Tickets go on sale to the general public Tuesday, December 5 and range from $35.00 - $65.00.

America is one of our music staples at 96.1 The Eagle playing their hits like:

  • "A Horse With No Name"

  • "Lonely People"
