Every year since 1976, the third Thursday in November marks the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout, a day when smokers are encouraged to quit for the day and make a plan to quit for good.
Today is "The Great American Smokeout", sponsored by the American Cancer Society, where we're all encouraged to go smoke-free for the day. As an ex-smoker, I know it can be difficult giving up the smokes for a day, but once you have a day under your belt, you're on your way to quitting for good.
