Skid Row and Kool and the Gang will take over Chevy Court at the 2017 Great New York State Fair.

The Grammy Award Winning American funk, rhythm, and blues band will take the Chevy Court stage at 6 pm on Labor Day, Sept. 4. Some of our favorite hits include

Ladies' Night, Too Hot, Celebration,  Get Down on It, and Joanna.

In 1964, thirteen-year-old Robert Bell, his brother Ronald, and five high-school friends in Jersey City, New Jersey, formed an instrumental band called the Jazziacs. They changed their name to Kool & the Flames in 1967, then Kool & the Gang in 1969. with huge success in the 70's, 80's and are still going strong today with original members Robert "Kool" Bell on bass, Ronald Bell on  tenor saxophone, George Brown on drums
Dennis Thomas on alto saxophone. Now THEY have a reason to Celebrate!

Fireworks will light the skies over the Fairgrounds to bring the 2017 Fair to an end after the Kool and The Gang show, at approximately 9 pm.

The Fair also announced Rock band Skid Row will perform at 2 pm August 31. Skid Row was formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey. Original members still with the group include Rachel Bolan on bass, Dave "The Snake" Sabo on rhythm guitar, and Scotti Hill on lead guitar.

The group was hugely successful in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with its first two albums Skid Row and Slave to the Grind which gave us hits like, 18 and Life and I Remember You.
