
New Hartford Police Arrest Man for Shooting and Killing Family Dog
A New Hartford man is behind bars for allegedly shooting and killing his family dog.
Police responded to a shots fired call early Tuesday morning at a residence in New Hartford. 60-year-old Steven F. Baerman is accused of shooting and killing his family's dog in close proximity to a family member.
Baerman is facing several felony charges including Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
Baerman is being held at the Oneida County Jail without bail and will appear in the Town of New Hartford Court at a later date.
