If you're a fan of local CNY music and live bands, you will remember Syracuse-based Mr. Edd, or more accurately their shenanigans! Just by the name alone, the band hints at their funny bone, but you had to be at a show in order to experience it. Here's a gem that popped up from the band covering Devo's Whip It at the Lost Horizon as the Muppets... (Monk Rowe, your puppeteer) Read below for more on what the band is up to now...

Below, an original from the band: Jeff Abbe on guitars, Bill Colmey & Monk Rowe on keys, Greeley Ford on bass, Garry Hall on guitar and Jim Lucas on drums.

Who could forget Rich Light, their sound guy as well? You'd know him as the bald hairdresser now and boy does he have quite a few Mr Edd stories; Greeley is still in the area too playing in Classified, Jim is still playing drums in Syracuse and Monk can be seen playing piano in the Hotel Utica lobby or with John Hutson. However, on a more somber note it just came to my attention that Jeff is fighting cancer and could use all of the support he can get. Maybe a reunion show would be fun if we can get Garry back from Florida? After all it's been nearly 30 years since their last show! In the meantime, here's a Mr Edd original set to a photo montage to continue the nostalgia...
