Robert Elinskas from the American Cancer Society stops into the Eagle Studio with some exciting news about the SUNY POLY Relay for Life event with Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn. 

Ethan Zohn was the $1,000,000.00 winner on Survivor: South Africa and is also a cancer survivor. He will be the guest speaker for the 2nd Annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of SUNY POLY kick off event.

Zohn will talk about his experience on the reality TV show Survivor at the SUNY POLY auditorium Thursday, March 30 at 12:30. The event is free and open to the public.

On Friday, March 31, he's the guest speaker for the opening ceremonies at SUNY POLY Relay for Life event starting at 7 PM. Spectators are welcome to come to the celebration and walk in the survivor lap. Luminaria Ceremony, where candles are lit in honor and memory of locals who have battled cancer will start at 10 PM.

This is the second annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of SUNY POLY to help save lives from cancer. The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community, with four million participants in 6,000 events worldwide in 2015.

Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, providing free information and critical services for people with cancer, and supporting education and prevention programs.
