We have all seen the TV commercials that show adults and kids getting helped by the local food bank so no one goes hungry.  Until now there hasn't been a food bank for pets.

People that have dogs and cats risk losing their pets when they can't afford to buy food for them.  Doggie Doo in Rome has taken the idea of the local food bank one step further and set up a dog and cat free food station of sorts called a Blessing Box.

Sometimes you are short on your paycheck by one or two days and the family pet goes without dinner. You'll notice by the photograph that Doggie Doo has a different approach to hungry pets. It's a BLESSING BOX.

Sometimes you can't afford to buy food and sometimes you have the money to return the favor of free food that helped feed your family pet.
