Nope, My Dog Wouldn’t Be Caught Dead Wearing That

We at the Cristi household live in a divided home...and I wonder, is it me, or do most pet owners feel this way? I think it is not appropriate to dress the family pet in strange unflattering clothing. Quite frankly I feel it's humiliating for the pet! 

Now, there may be a few exceptions to this rule...but very few.  I may be open to say having my pet wear a jersey of my favorite sports..."Go Orange"....and, of course, in a Utica Comet's Jersey, but I would have to say that is my limit. Do I maybe snicker a bit when I enter the pet food store, or my local vet to see pooches wearing sweaters? I do. Did I maybe tell a little white lie to a co-worker who had offered a dog coat to me that it probably wouldn't fit...I have

Here's the bottom line, I don't dress my dogs, MY WIFE DOES!

This is our dog Molly wearing a pretty pink jacket, or at least I guess that's what it is.

And here's Gibbs, black beret and all. The poor thing is skittish anyway and I feel sorry for him. The sweater is bad enough but I mean look at THAT hat!

Central New Yorkers, are you okay with dressing your pet? 'd love to hear it, if for nothing else my own peace of mind.
