The National Weather Service (NWS) out of Binghamton is calling for some potent storms at the end of the week in CNY.

The NWS has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook: Locally heavy rainfall is possible in the area from Thursday through Friday. If heavy rainfall develops as expected, small stream, urban, and poor drainage flooding could occur. Keep monitoring updated forecasts throughout the week.

The NWS says we're in for an active and wet weather pattern with periods of rain, possibly heavy at times will continue across the region.

A chance of thunderstorms for most the area on Friday. These storms could produce heavy downpours and perhaps other hazards such as gusty winds or even isolated hail. [NWS]
