Free Concert At Colgate University Featuring Aretha Franklin
“Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin will perform at Colgate University Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Sanford Field House.
Aretha Franklin will perform on campus as part of the Kerschner Family Series Global Leaders at Colgate University, 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Sanford Field House. Admission is free, but tickets are required and will be available in mid-January.
According to the Colgate website:
The Global Leaders series, sponsored by Colgate’s Parents’ and Grandparents’ Fund, allows the university to invite inspirational leaders like Franklin to campus. Other guests have included former prime minister of Israel, Shimon Peres; Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group founder; Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state; President Bill Clinton; Russian political activist Gary Kasparov; Tony Blair, former prime minister of Great Britain; Felipe Calderón, former president of Mexico; and the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism.
Aretha Franklin performed at the Syracuse Jazz Festival in July. With18 Grammy Awards, 112 charted singles on Billboard (17 in the top 10), and over 75 million records sold this is sure to be another great show. Don't forget the "Queen Of Soul" just performed for the Pope.
