Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Aventador Take It To the Streets [VIDEO]

The Underground Racing garage in North Carolina took two giants of gearhead-dom, a Ferrari 458 Italia with a “bolt on” twin-turbo engine and a Lamborghini Aventador, and put them in the ultimate head-to-head highway race.

The two cars make for an interesting match-up because the Aventador boasts a 700 horsepower engine, and the “twin-turbo” addition on the Ferrari 458 Italia boosts 700 horsepower as well. It’s like Carl Lewis and Jonah Hill in a foot race, except that Jonah is allowed to wear rocket skates.

Underground Racing posted the race video on YouTube, so the rest of us could enjoy the nail-biting, nervous pleasure that comes from watching two super machines ignore traffic laws for our competitive enjoyment.
