Sheriff’s Office Investigating Drowning On Delta Lake

UPDATED 8/8 9:05 - The victim has been identified as Ronald Pocchiari of Lee.

UPDATED 3:44 p.m.- The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating a drowning on Delta Lake.

The call came in to the Oneida County 911 center just before 11:30 Wednesday morning.

Deputies say the man was found dead in the water by a friend.

The Sheriff's Office says nothing appears to be criminal in nature.

They say the name of the victim will be released on Thursdayy

The Oneida County Sheriffs Office has confirmed that there was a fatal drowning at Delta.

The call came in to the Oneida County 911 center at 11:25AM:

The Oneida County Sheriffs department has confirmed that there was a fatal drowning at Delta. "The male was located by members of the Sheriffs Office and Western Fire Department." according to Sheriff Rob Maciol. They are currently awaiting the medical examiner’s arrival.
