Did you get some tulips, hyacinths, or daffodils in full bloom for Easter? Now they look like this? What are we supposed to do with that?

Yes, when we purchased or were given the beautiful spring flowers they were gorgeous. Kind of like this.

One they've stopped blooming, stop watering them and let the foliage die back and turn brown. You can either keep them in a dark place for planting in the fall, or plant them outside now. Keep your fingers crossed for a springtime bloom next year.

Unfortunately "tulips" have an awful reputation of not blooming again because they've been raised in a greenhouse and treated with fertilizers and hormones to get them to bloom in time for Easter. We think you should give it a try. What do you have to lose?
