With the unexpected passing of Tom Petty, we're looking back at some of our favorite tunes.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ~ Don't Come Around Here No More

I loved this song, but the video scared me. The Alice In Wonderland theme was pretty creepy, and then when Alice turns into a cake, and they eat her I was like Whaatt?  Songfacts.com says MTV ordered a shot of a grinning Petty while Alice gets served edited out of the video before they would air it. "They said it was just too lascivious," he told Billboard. "They were like, 'Well, you can do it, but you can't enjoy it that much.'"

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ~ You Got Lucky

I loved the attitude of this song. I don't think the lyrics had anything to do with his personal life as he was married. Check out that whammy bar guitar. When watching the video on MTV, I always wanted the radio/boombox that they left behind.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ~ Mary Jane's Last Dance

I always thought this song could be about anything you wanted it to be. Some feel 'Mary Jane' represents Tom Petty's younger years as he was 41 when he wrote this song. Others swear it's about Marijuana. What do you think?

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ~ Here Comes My Girl

Hasn't everyone been in a troubled relationship? We've all been a sucker from time to time taking back people that don't deserve us. It's called infatuation, not love.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ~ Breakdown

Songfacts.com says this song was featured in the 1978 movie FM. About a radio station in California, the movie was the basis for the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati. This was also included on the soundtrack. I could listen to this tune over and over all day.
