A Haunting In Connecticut Star, Psychic Carmen Reed, Coming To Herkimer For Ghost Hunt
"A Haunting in Connecticut" is based on a chilling true story and charts Carmen Reed's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural.
Carmen Reed’s life has been portrayed in the box office blockbuster movie, “A Haunting in Connecticut”, a film based on her intuitive abilities and, apparently, a haunted house. Her family moves to upstate Connecticut after her son was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. They soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.
According to Ideal Event Manage, Carmen knew from almost the beginning of her cognitive life that she was special, an “intuitive”; as she could feel when things were about to happen. Her paternal grandmother had the same feelings, so perhaps it was genetic. And even further back is a Cherokee Shaman and an Indian Princess, so perhaps it is more than just a gift. Perhaps it was predestined that she see a spiritual side of life that only a few can comprehend.
Carmen Reed will be in Herkimer exploring the legendary 1834 jail house where murderer Chester Gillette was held, and Roxalana Druse was hanged. She'll also investigate the Eckler Building, Doctor suiter’s 1860 medical practice, and the historic 1860 courthouse where Chester Gillette was found guilty of murder. The 7th annual Haunted History Investigation is Saturday, October 22nd. Carmon Reed will be joined by Gettysburg Ghost Gals from “Ghost Detectives” and the NY Shadow Chasers. Participants will be able to investigate the locations with ghost hunting talent as well as the PBS ghost hunters with the latest equipment to capture paranormal evidence first-hand.
