Willard Scott vs Punxsutawney Phil

The folks at Wildlife Prairie State Park in Illinois are looking to give Punxsutawney Phil some competition. They’re bringing in former NBC weatherman Willard Scott for a Groundhog Day celebration. While Phil will be looking for his shadow in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Gertie the groundhog will be doing her thing at Wildlife Prairie. Park staffers say their rodents have a pretty good forecasting track record on February 2nd. The groundhogs have been 80% right in predicting the chances of an early spring over the last couple of decades. Meanwhile, Willard will be helping by seeing if he can see his belt buckle.
