Where To Pick Your Own Pumpkin In Central New York

Pick your Halloween pumpkin and enjoy some of the fun activities at these pumpkin patches in Central New York.

Abbott Farms: 3275 Cold Springs Road, Baldwinsville; (315) 638-7783. Not only can you pick your pumpkin but they also offer a fun barnyard full of baby animals for the kids to play with. You can watch them make cider, visit the fish pond or corn maze. Fall Festival Days are underway until Halloween. Enjoy the season with fun fall activities! A per-person wristband or individual tickets on festival days covers these activities — wagon rides, corn maze, tube slides, bounce house, three shots on the apple cannon or slingshot, and face-painting.

Cullen Pumpkin Farm: 587 Cullen Rd, Richfield Springs; (315) 867-3878.  Fifteen acres of land on this farm are devoted to pumpkin production - from large carvers to small pie pumpkins, as well as a large variety of odd/specialty sizes for decorations. This is a visitor-ready farm, offering pick-your-own pumpkins from the field or from their pre-picked selection. In addition, there are plenty of kid-friendly activities, making this farm a fun place to visit for the entire family, including a corn maze, wagon rides, barrel train ride, and photo area. Open from early September through Halloween.

Cicero "Pumpkin" Patch: 7169 Island Rd., Cicero; (315) 699-2200. These pumpkin patches are full of decorative breeds of pumpkins and gourds, cornstalks, broom corn, multi-colored corn, strawberry corn and the BEST children’s hayride in Central New York! Don't forget to enjoy the nature walk and corn maze.

Critz Farms: 3232 Rippleton Road, Cazenovia; (315) 662-3355   Critz Farms has a beautiful selection of pumpkins for you to pick from. On weekends, you can take a tractor-drawn wagon ride out to pumpkin field where you can romp around through acres of pumpkins to find just the right one. The wagon will bring you back to the main barn where our helpful staff will weigh your selection. We offer pumpkins to visitors for 39 cents per pound.

Our Farm: 1590 Peth Rd., Manlius; (315) 655-8453. 'Our Farm' is an award-winning family farm that has been growing and selling farm fresh produce at a roadside stand near Cazenovia since 1985. Fall activities include U-pick pumpkins and a hayride, corn maze, pumpkin launching trebuchet, petting zoo and more.

Will's Cackleberry Castle Pumpkin Farm: 1175 Hillsboro Rd, Camden; (315) 245-0104 Will's Cackleberry Castle Pumpkin Farm is dedicated to bringing the Halloween spirit and unbeatable seasonal goods to Upstate New York. Family owned Cackleberry Castle is a place for Halloween fun that the whole family can enjoy.

Pumpkin Junction: 2188 Graffenburg Road in Sauquoit is a pumpkin farm where you can pick your own pumpkin. You can also find many unique items in their Halloween store that's fun for the whole family. They have a 2 story barn filled with everything Halloween including pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, fudge, taffy, and tons of decorations. Don't forget to take the kids into the FREE 8 acre Cornfusion Corn Maze! Open daily 9 am - 8 pm until October 31.
