In some parts of the country, they have different customs on "the night before Halloween". We don't really have a specific name for it in Central New York, and if you have kids you probably don't have time to deal with another "festive" holiday anyway.

But I have another suggestion. Don't wait until Halloween night to raid your children's candy. Why not take a few Kit-Kats or Reese's that you WERE going to hand out to the neighbors? That's right, you bought it. Make it a new Halloween Tradition and start your own trick-or-treating the night before.
