Utica Man Charged With Using Machete During Fight

Utica Police have made arrest in a fight involving a machete on the 900 block of Schuyler Street on Sunday night.

Police say 37-year old Gary Bryan allegedly swung the machete at the victim and struck him once.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.

The victim’s wounds are not considered life threatening.

Bryan was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
