September 10th is Made in Utica's, walkable music and arts festival, appropriately called the "Downtown Getdown."

Save the date because Bagg's Square, Downtown, and Varick Street will be hoppin.' til midnight with live music, arts, and plenty of food.

The event gets started at 9am with family yoga, and the Galime Project will perform in the public market. Various art displays and vendors will be lining Bagg's Square, and oh yeah, there will be food and drink specials as well.

Downtown will be bustling too: Music with Newlywed, art demonstrations in Franklin Square,  the Grime Company Showcase in Bank Place, a special open mic night at the Tram, and the sounds of Draculatron and Twin Speak at the Dev.

Varick Street will feature live music at Nail Creek, and Umphrey's McGee at Saranac Brewery. Band members from Moe, Taking Back Sunday, and Conehead Buddah are also set to perform.
