The Utica Fire Department is showing off two new vehicles.

The newest apparatus is Fire Engine number 3, which will be stationed in East Utica.

Mayor Robert Palmieri says $5000,000 in federal funding through the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and $158,000 from the City helped replace a 30-year old truck..

The UFD has also replaced an old emergency response vehicle with a new one, with the help of $250,000 in state funding secured by then-Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi.

The vehicle it replaced was more than 13 years old.
