A man’s home is his castle. It’s where you retreat in comfort after a long, hard day of work. It should be comfortable and easy. But, because we spend so much time in our homes, it's easy to get into habits and patterns of behavior that aren't the healthiest.

Here's a rundown from Uncoached.com of some things most of us should be doing less of when we're at home:

Eating- It takes a bit of discipline, but not reaching for food every time the mood strikes you could improve the quality of your life in a big way.

Watching Television- The average American watches more than five hours of television a day. Turn off the tube and get a hobby.

Work- Checking e-mails, Blackberrys, iPads, text messages, this all counts as work. Shut it down when you get home and enjoy a healthier balance of work and home life.

Staring at the Internet- The one on this list I’m the most guilty of, When you're bored and just mindlessly staring at the computer, snap out of it. In these times, do something to feed your soul. Take a walk, open a book or start a conversation.
