Cool Your Pet Off With DogSpots While Stopping On The Thruway

Instead of leaving your dog in the car while stopping at a service area on the Thruway (because you can't bring them inside), you can now drop them in an air-conditioned personal DogSpot for a few minutes to chill, while you do the same.

10 of the almost 30 Thruway rest areas now have these and it's designed to house decent-sized dogs as big as a German Shepherd and is basically a little enclosed self-cleaning dog house that you can rent for 30 cents a minute. The little house is also connected to your phone via an app and can even alert you inside if your dog happens to come under duress.

Here's the ten locations that have a couple of DogSpots: Ardsley, Chittenango, Clifton Springs, Junius Ponds, New Baltimore, Oneida, Pattersonville, Plattekill, Sloatsburg and Ulster.
