Last year many people when nuts to see topless photos of Kate Middleton. I'm betting those people aren't going as crazy for this photo. The first official painted portrait of Duchess Kate Middleton has been commissioned by Britain's National Portrait Gallery, and Kate said it's "absolutely brilliant." I'm saying it's god awful. Check it out here.

According to the Today Show on NBC, the artist who created this gem is Scottish-born Paul Emsley. He thinks that his painting photographs the Duchess all natural.

Paul Emsley, said "the Duchess explained that she would like to be portrayed naturally — her natural self — as opposed to her official self," according to the Prince of Wales' website. "She struck me as enormously open and generous and a very warm person. After initially feeling it was going to be an unsmiling portrait I think it was the right choice in the end to have her smiling — that is really who she is."

I don't think this truly shows who she really is, do you? I think its awful but then again I'm not a painter. I think they must have taken her naturally when she was in her hospital bed puking. She looks god awful in this photo.
