Tax Free Shopping For Veterans With An Honorable Discharge

Starting this year Veterans will not have to pay tax!

On Veterans Day more than 13 million honorably discharged Veterans can shop Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy Exchange websites tax-free.

Veterans must go to VetVerify.org and fill out a form to see if they qualify. They're encouraged to start the verification process now as many records are not yet digitized. All information will come from DoD’s Defense Manpower Data Center’s records. If a Veterans information is incomplete, help will be provided on the next steps that need to be taken to receive the lifelong military exchange online shopping benefit.

Tax-free shopping participants include shopmyexchange.com, shopcgx.com, mymcx.com, and mynavyexchange.com for tax-free shopping. Profits from The Exchange, which is part of the Department of Defense, will support military morale, welfare and recreation programs. The currently provide over $300 Million in funding for Quality-of-life-programs for the military each year.
