New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada called it quits today. During a press conference at Yankee Stadium he announced that he is retiring from baseball. With his wife and two young kids by his side Posada became emotional as he thanked his family in Spanish and then his Yankee teammates.

Fans of the "Lord of the Rings" franchise are getting teased a year in advance.  The next chapter in the series, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" isn't set for release until December of next year.  The studio has released an early trailer for the film which will star Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins...

Bob Seger is missing one of his guitars. In fact it's the one featured in this album cover photo from his 1994 Greatest Hits CD.  WXYZ-TV in Detroit says Seger noticed the guitar missing after moving his family home in October.  The 1978 Gibson is said to be worth between 8 and 10 thousand dollars but Seger considers it priceless...
