Rockefeller Center's second-largest Christmas tree ever is in final travel preparations. 94-foot, 14-ton Norway spruce from Oneonta N.Y. has been cut down, hoisted by two huge cranes over a couple of houses, delicately placed on a flatbed and is on her way to Manhattan.

At Rockefeller Center, five to six workers will set up the crane and put her on a pedestal. She'll be the perfect Leading Lady at Rockefeller Center. She’ll be manicured to perfection, draped in 5 miles of lights, wear the famous Swarovski Crystal Star, and all the while looking perfect from every angle in each photograph.

Today show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Hoda Kotb will host the 84th Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 30th. Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton, Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan, Garth Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, Josh Groban, Tori Kelly, and The Voice season nine winner Jordan Smith will all serenade her, and the Radio City Music Hall's Rockettes complete the special event.

Once the holidays have passed, she’ll be donated to Habitat for Humanity where she’s milled, treated and made into lumber that will be used to build a home.

Not a bad life for an old tree out of a backyard in little Oneonta NY.
