The President is considering placing New York on a mandatory quarantine.

President Trump tweeted the possibility of placing 'hot spots' like New York, New Jersey and Connecticut under a 14 day quarantine. "A decision will be made, one way or another, shortly."

"I didn't speak to him about any quarantine," Governor Andrew Cuomo said during his daily briefing. I don't even know what that means. From a medical point of view, I don’t know what you would be accomplishing. I don’t like the sound of it."

New York state has 52,318 positive coronavirus cases and 728 people have died from the virus. To help with the growing number of cases, the USNS Comfort ship is leaving for New York City Harbor this afternoon.

4 new sites have been approved in New York state to be converted into temporary facilities, providing thousands more beds.

The Governor is asking all pharmacies to offer free delivery to stop the spread and reminds all New Yorkers, the best way to flatten the curve is to stay home.
